Description

The GAPS2 system is composed of a single protein. It was found in Gamma-Mobile-Trio (GMT) protein containing genomic island in Vibrio, and cloned into E. coli K-12 () . The name GAPS derives from the "GMT-encoded Anti-Phage System" acronym.

GAPS2 is composed of a single protein with a DNA BRCT domains () .

As far as we are aware, the molecular mechanism is unknown.
