Description

MqsRAC is a toxin-antitoxin-chaperone (TAC) system shown to have anti-phage activity.

Molecular mechanisms

As far as we are aware, the molecular mechanism of MqsRAC is unknown.

Distribution of the system among prokaryotes

Among the 22,803 complete genomes of RefSeq, the MqsRAC is detected in 26 genomes (0.11 %).

The system was detected in 20 different species.
